In Moscow, and in other places, on Orthodox Christmas, celebrated on January 7, in a renewed spirit of friendship, “gift ceremonies” were organized with the distribution of food packages, gifts, and warm meals, made possible also by the participation of many young people, who prepared the celebrations, besides entertaining the beneficiaries with concerts. In different and unique ways, many have been reached: homeless people, elderly people alone in their houses and retirement homes, as well as children and families in difficulty.
